Why I Walk

Everyone has their own personal reason for participating in the Race for the Cure®. This is your opportunity to share your unique experience and motivation behind your participation in the global movement to end breast cancer forever.

I have been personally tied to the breast health movement for the past 12 years. I am a two time breast cancer survivor and am thankful for each and every day that I wake up healthy. It is because of the efforts of Susan G. Komen for the Cure that I am alive today. Education, awareness and treatment saved my life more than once. I am passionate about the Race for the Cure and this will be my 4th year as Race Chair
